It's for law firms, solo attorneys and in-house legal departments that want to organize cases, client documents and deadlines. In law, a missed deadline has serious consequences, and information about each case is usually scattered across email, folders and notes.
The template puts each case and each step on a board, with an assignee and a date.
When you create your account and choose the Law template, Tasskee creates the project with five statuses, in this order:
The two workstreams are Cases and Clients. The table above shows the four sample tasks: open a sample case, gather client documents, file a petition and track case progress. Three are in Cases and one is in Clients. The template doesn't create a sprint.
Suggestions for adapting it:
Tasskee doesn't query courts or track publications automatically. Case progress and deadlines are recorded by you as tasks.
The calendar brings hearings and deadlines together, and automations send a notice before the due date and when a task stalls. Documents hold drafts, filing templates and internal procedures, with versions, and time tracking, from the Start plan, lets you bill by the hour worked and close the client report as a PDF or CSV; Tasskee doesn't issue invoices (notas fiscais).
For firms that want to be transparent with clients, the client portal lets them follow the case without taking up a seat. Also read the page for law firms and the one on security and LGPD (Brazil's data protection law), important for anyone who handles client data.
Define who updates what. One rule that works: the person responsible for the case moves the card whenever something changes, and the weekly meeting starts with the Waiting column. In a few minutes the firm sees what's stalled for lack of a reply and who needs to follow up.
The template is chosen at signup, when you create your account: in the onboarding step, choose the Law template and the project appears already set up. The trial lasts 15 days with Pro unlocked, no card required.
