It's for people coming out of the idea stage: founders, early-stage product teams and anyone running a new business with few people. At this stage the risk isn't a lack of tools, it's spending weeks building something nobody asked for. The template puts validation ahead of execution.
It's deliberately lightweight: no sprint, no heavy schedule, just what helps you decide what to do next.
When you create your account and choose the Startup template, Tasskee creates the project with five statuses, in this order:
There are two workstreams: Discovery and Product. The table above lists the four sample tasks: define the value proposition and validate the hypothesis with customers are in Discovery; build the MVP and define the key metrics are in Product. The template doesn't create a sprint.
The sample tasks are a starting point. A few suggestions for adapting it:
As the team grows, the Kanban board keeps working and you can add sprints for short delivery cycles. Goals and OKRs tie what the team does to the result that matters, and the OKR template shows how to write objectives and key results. To organize a proposal or scope right at the start, use the project brief.
If the budget is tight, also read the page on free project management: the Free plan supports up to 3 users and 3 projects, which covers a startup at the beginning.
The template is chosen at signup, when you create your account: in the onboarding step, choose the Startup template and the project appears already set up. The trial lasts 15 days, with Pro unlocked and no card required; if you don't choose a plan, the account becomes Free and nothing is deleted.
