ClickUp, monday, Asana and Trello in Brazilian Reais: What They Really Cost for 5, 10 and 20 People

Price per user is only the start: currency, the minimum plan to get a schedule and reports, AI billed separately and the IOF tax. The math for teams of 5, 10 and 20 people, with the official October 2026 prices.

The price on a sales page is "per user, per month". What reaches the finance team is something else: an amount multiplied by the number of people, converted from dollars when applicable, with tax, and on the plan that actually has what the team needs. The calculations below show that difference for teams of 5, 10 and 20 people.

All prices come from each tool's official pages, checked on 10/02/2026, and are per user, before taxes. Prices change: before deciding, check the vendor's page again.

Three notes before the calculations:

  • monday.com: the Portuguese-language page shows prices in reais, but it doesn't make clear whether they're for the annual or the monthly plan (there's a note about savings on annual payment). We treat the number as "the displayed price".
  • Jira: left out. We couldn't confirm the price, and we're not going to guess. What we can say is that it has a free plan for small teams and paid plans per user, billed in dollars, aimed at software teams.
  • Free plans: ClickUp, Asana (Personal), Trello and Tasskee have them; monday.com does too, up to 2 users and 3 boards. Small teams may not pay anything, as long as the limits fit. Tasskee's free plan goes up to 3 users and 3 projects.

How to convert dollars to reais without fixing an exchange rate

The exchange rate changes every day, and any fixed number here would be wrong within weeks. Use the formula:

amount in dollars × exchange rate on the billing day + IOF (Brazil's tax on foreign transactions) on the international purchase = amount in reais on the invoice

An explicitly hypothetical example, just to illustrate: if the dollar were at R$ 5.00 and the IOF were 4% (made-up values for the calculation, not the current rate or tax), a US$ 70 per month plan would come to US$ 70 × R$ 5.00 = R$ 350, plus 4% IOF, or R$ 364. Swap in the exchange rate and tax rate for the day and you have your own number. Your card statement may also include the issuer's fee.

The numbers for 5, 10 and 20 people

The amounts below are the price per user times the number of people. For the tools priced in dollars, the result is in dollars, before conversion. For each one, we show the annual and monthly plan when both exist.

Quick take: monday.com and Tasskee are already in reais, so comparing them is straightforward. To put ClickUp, Asana and Trello on the same footing, apply the exchange rate and IOF formula to the dollar amounts. Anyone who decides by the lowest number, without looking at what each plan delivers, makes the classic mistake covered in the next section.

Run the numbers with your team

In Tasskee, Start costs R$ 19 and Pro R$ 39 per user/month, in reais, on a credit card. The 15-day trial unlocks all of Pro, no card required.

What the entry-plan math doesn't show

The entry plan rarely has what you need

It's common for schedules with dependencies, more complete reports and larger automations to sit on the plan above. That's why the second table matters more than the first for many teams. On monday.com, for example, Standard has 250 automation actions per month and Pro has 25,000, which changes the choice for anyone who automates a lot. In Tasskee, automations exist on every plan, with monthly execution quotas per plan, and AI actions require Pro.

AI billed separately

In ClickUp, AI (Brain) is an add-on per user. In Asana, AI has a small request quota. In Tasskee, AI uses the key from the provider you choose (OpenAI, Gemini or Claude) and you pay for usage directly to them, with no credits and no markup. Add this item to the calculation if the team plans to use AI every day. The logic is explained in AI credits or your own key.

Client and guest seats

Does someone who only follows the project count as a paid user? In Tasskee, a client in the guest portal doesn't take up a seat, and the Pro plan includes up to 50 portal guests; Start includes 5. For agencies and consultancies, this point can weigh more than the per-user price.

Payment method

ClickUp, Asana and Trello don't show reais, boleto or Pix on the pricing pages we checked. monday.com shows card and PayPal, with no boleto or Pix on the page. Tasskee bills in reais on a card on the Start and Pro plans, and offers boleto or Pix with an invoice (nota fiscal) on Max (R$ 99 per user/month). If an invoice is a finance requirement, that settles the question before any table does.

Monthly vs. annual

Where there are two price tables, annual is much cheaper per user than monthly. In ClickUp, Unlimited drops from US$ 10 to US$ 7. The practical question is whether the team is sure it will use the tool for twelve months. If the decision is recent, start with monthly or with the trial, and switch to annual after a quarter of real use.

Tasskee's free plan

For teams of up to three people with few projects, Tasskee's free plan (up to 3 users, 3 projects, list, Kanban and day planner) already does the job, no card needed. And if the team grows, Start (R$ 19) and Pro (R$ 39) stay in reais with no exchange-rate math, and the equation gets better when the team needs deadlines, hours or the client inside the system.

What wasn't included in the calculations

To keep the comparison honest, we left out what can't be generalized: the Enterprise and Corporate plans (custom quote), ClickUp's AI add-ons, Asana's AI quota, extra storage and Tasskee's WhatsApp customer service, which is a per-channel add-on. Each of these items changes the total in some scenario, and your final calculation should include them if you use them.

A calculation roadmap for your case

  1. List the essential features and find out which plan of each tool has them.
  2. Count how many people will actually use it, not counting those who only watch from a distance (guests).
  3. Multiply, convert whatever is in dollars using the formula and add IOF.
  4. Add what's billed separately: AI, customer service, extra storage.
  5. Compare the monthly result, not the storefront.

For criteria that go beyond price, read the checklist for choosing project management software and the ClickUp alternatives. To see the two tools side by side, there's the Tasskee vs. ClickUp comparison.
