| Task | Workstream | Initial status | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Close the accounting month | Monthly close | In progress | Task, high priority |
| Reconcile bank accounts | Monthly close | To do | Task, normal priority |
| Issue tax payment slips | Tax obligations | To do | Task, normal priority |
| Review financial report | Monthly close | Review | Task, low priority |
It's for accounting firms and accounting and finance departments that work in cycles: closing the month, reconciling, issuing tax payment slips, reviewing. The routine repeats every month, with statutory deadlines that don't forgive, and the risk is an obligation being left without an owner when the team is at its peak.
The template turns that routine into tasks with an assignee, a due date and a status visible to everyone.
When you create your account and choose the Accounting and Finance template, Tasskee creates the project with five statuses, in this order:
The two workstreams are Monthly close and Tax obligations. The table above shows the four sample tasks: close the accounting month, reconcile bank accounts, issue tax payment slips and review the financial report. Three of them are in the Monthly close workstream and one is in Tax obligations. The template doesn't create a sprint.
Suggestions, not rules:
The calendar shows the month's deadlines at once, and the Kanban board shows who is stuck on what. Automations send a notice before the due date and when a task stalls, and they're available on all plans, with a monthly execution limit. To measure how much of the team's time each client uses, use time tracking, and the project timesheet spreadsheet template helps you think through the structure.
Tasskee doesn't issue payment slips or invoices (notas fiscais): it organizes the work, and the documents stay in your accounting system. The page for accounting firms details how to put these pieces together.
Agree on an internal cutoff date for each stage and keep it visible on the board who has the ball. In the short meeting at the start of the close, go through the Review column: it shows what's ready to check and keeps everything from arriving at once on the last business day.
