Who this marketing project template is for

It's for marketing teams, social media, content production and small agencies. Marketing work is full of short deliverables with many hands (topic, copy, artwork, approval, scheduling), and what delays things most is the piece that sat waiting for someone's "okay" without anyone noticing.

The template shows each piece and each campaign at the stage it's in.

How the project comes set up

When you create your account and choose the Marketing template, Tasskee creates the project with four statuses, in this order:

  1. Ideas;
  2. In production;
  3. Approval;
  4. Published.

The two workstreams are Campaigns and Content. The four sample tasks, in the table above, are plan the month's campaign, write a blog post, get the artwork approved by the client and schedule social media posts. The artwork approval task starts in In production, and the Approval column starts out empty. The template doesn't create a sprint.

How to adapt it to your team

Suggestions for adapting it, which you choose if they make sense:

  • One task per piece. The title is the piece, the description holds the brief, and attachments keep the versions.
  • Workstreams per channel or per client. Campaigns and Content can become Instagram, Blog and Email, or one name per client.
  • A publication date on each card. With the publication date as the due date, the calendar becomes the editorial calendar.
  • A copy or artwork review stage before approval, if your flow requires it.

Tasskee features that go well with the template

The calendar works as an editorial calendar and the Kanban board shows the flow. So the client can approve without email chains, use the client portal, where they follow along, comment and approve without taking up a seat. The project brief template helps you ask for the right information before producing.

To tie the work to results, goals and OKRs let you track objectives such as leads generated or posts published in the month. Agencies will find more details on the page for marketing agencies.

An honest limit: Tasskee organizes and schedules the team's work, but it doesn't publish to social networks. Publishing stays in your social media tool.

A simple agreement for the team

Pick a day of the week for the planning meeting and look at just two columns: Ideas, to decide what gets in, and Approval, to chase what's stalled. The rest of the board keeps itself going, as long as every card has an owner and a publication date.

How to get started
